Richard Brown and Associates, LLC, Architecture + Design was established in 2005 under the name Richard Brown Architect, LLC, and moved to Wichita, Kansas in 2007. During its first three years, the firm has completed a wide range of projects including new commercial facilities, interior and exterior building renovations, tenant-finish projects, residential projects, project feasibility studies and promotional design work. RBA has expanded since its inception, accepting larger commercial and institutional projects, while still maintaining its practice in residential and interior work.
RBA believes that architecture and art are inseparable factors in its multidisciplinary approach to each project. With this in objective in mind, RBA employs a full-time artist on staff, offering its clients design capabilities beyond the range of most other firms.
Keeping up to date with new industry technology, RBA uses Building Information Modeling (BIM) software to produce detailed 3-D building models and virtual tours of buildings from the early stages of a project's development. With the awareness that a decisive response to environmental change is becoming increasingly imperative, RBA is planning to integrate the principles of sustainable building design in the near future. RBA architects and interns are in the process of becoming LEED certified.
RBA is pleased to offer its clients a wide range of services, including, but not limited to, architectural, artistic and graphic design, and full-environment 3-D conceptualizations.
Richard Brown, AIA, RBA's principal architect, received his architecture degree from Kansas State University in 1994, graduating second in his class, cum laude. Serving as the 2009 President of the Wichita chapter of the AIA, Richard is active in his community, and has been recognized on both regional and national levels. In fall of 2008, he was honored in the Wichita Business Journal's prestigious list of "40 Under 40."
